Bluesky feels like Twitter 10 years ago, so I’ve taken the opportunity to re-engage a bit with the community, and I’ve been posting bits from my Little Wizards prototype, which I’ve dusted off and starting working on again!
I made a reel!
I made a new website, which started with the typical programmer dance of trying to decide if I should use a fancy new framework, or update my poorly customised WordPress theme, or maybe dust off Node.js…
After much deliberation, I found the wonderful free templates at HTML5 Up and felt inspired to build on top of Paradigm Shift. Let’s keep things simple, just plain old HTML, CSS. I don’t need a CMS!
But I needed something… then along came Jekyll, which feels like the perfect balance between a modern framework and the simplicity of old-school HTML. I’ve got things set up to build when I change files and sync via SFTP in VSCode and so far, it’s working great!
